1. You need to obtain a satisfactory level of English (satisfactory depending on the type of visa) before lodgment of your visa application.
2. In order to achieve maximum skilled migration points (ie. 25 points) you have to sit and score high in an IELTS test even if you come from an English speaking country such as England and America. Otherwise you may only receive 15 points for your English.
3. To be eligible for a partner visa you do not need to be in a heterosexual relationship. In other words you can be in a homosexual relationship. As long as you can prove that your relationship is 'a genuine and continuous relationship to the exclusion of all others'.
4. To migrate to Australia as an I.T. worker your base salary is different to that of any other skilled migration occupation.
